I have done a lot of learning and work over 25 years. This chronology is intended to serve not as an exhaustive overview of my experiences or life journey to date, but rather highlights and milestones along my continually-evolving leadership journey.
For several years, I stated I’ve been in this work for 10 years…until my LinkedIn profile dutifully shared that I’ve been organizing, training, and leading for nearly 18 years. So, to the surprise and disbelief of some, I began more accurately counting my years of leadership and experience.
It is my hope that this timeline provides inspiration and helpful information. It is not exhaustive and doesn’t include key milestones in my personal life and spiritual journey, but it’s a start and hopefully provides a clearer picture of the evolution of my leadership. Thanks for checking it out — Enjoy!

I was bat-mitzvah’ed at Sunrise Jewish Congregation, under the rabbinic guidance of Rabbi Marvin Schwab. I wore a West African outfit, led the Shabbat morning service, read seven aliyot and my haftorah, and read my d’var Torah or bat-mitzvah speech in which I cited it being anniversary of the Black Panthers occupying the California State Capitol in protest. You can learn a bit more about my experience and intentions in the first part of the first episode of my pilot series, Torah in Color.
