Joyous Justice at Its Core

As the founder of Joyous Justice, I know some things to be true.

Social change requires collective action and collective action requires relationship, trust, and community. And more fundamental than that, social change at its best occurs when each of us, including you, especially you, is in a strong, healthy, and balanced state of being. Full stop.

Clearly, this isn’t always possible, but I want to definitively contradict the notion that you must sacrifice yourself and your well-being for the sake of making the world a better place. The world won’t be a better place if you’re not well and with us. It really won’t.

It’s healthy to stretch yourself and continually grow, it’s another thing to compromise your well-being and continually put yourself last or in harm’s way because you’re not on the to-do list at all. Call it the perpetual, “maybe I’ll get to that tomorrow” list. Except, do you? And, beloved, your wellness isn’t a “that,” it is everything.

Each of us is sacred and valuable. I sincerely believe this. With some help and models of how it can be done, it is completely possible to sustain your work advocating and fighting for who and what you love and know to be true and live a more nourishing, relaxed, and empowered life. Yeah, I said it.

Let me say it another way, too!

It is possible to live a joyful, more fulfilling, and peaceful life AND work make the world a better place, either by being of service to others and/or pursuing justice.

It’s not only possible, it’s necessary.

**Because if we want a future in which we are fulfilled, content, and living lives of meaning and connection that not only benefit us but our planet and those around us, it’s time we start incorporating elements of that vision into our lives now.**

All or nothing is overrated. It can be intentional and incremental. Or faster, if you’re feeling that. ;)

Together, we can co-create our desired destination into existence by beginning to weave it into our lives and process now.

So whether you’re looking to learn and explore ways of getting more involved or strengthening your leadership and activism, or you need to refuel and rejigger so you can sustain your leadership over the long haul, on your terms, Joyous Justice is here to offer resources, inspiration, ideas, and support to help you do just that.
